Werner Herzog” —QI: Quite interesting facts about chickens - Telegraph
14 hours from now, all being well, I’ll be back in the Faroes, woohoo! (To those who don’t know, that’s where The Fella is from, and where I live most of the year. When I’m not arsing around, taking far too long doing business type things in the UK. It’s been almost 5 months, and I’m not ‘where I want to be’ with the business, but IT’S BEEN 5 MONTHS, I need some smooches! And to get back to my little house by the sea, and see my little blond godson, and oh good GRIEF to sort the garden out. But more on all of the above - little house, godson and garden, at least - later.)
Longest brackets ever? Possibly. It’s how I roll people. Now that’s an Americanism to be sure, what does it even mean?! Sure I need to lose a stone or two (possibly more on that in a later post too, we’ll see), but I’m not yet rolling down the street….
Wow - doesn’t tiredness, apprehension and a couple of glasses of wine make me chatty? Enough, already! Time to attempt to get some sleep, or at least, read some more of Game of Thrones. I watched the recent TV series, and loved it, so I thought I’d read the book. Loving it, but I’m getting to the bit where - well, let’s just say, I’m currently thinking - Run, Ned, Run!
Don’t Let Feelings Vote
How I managed to change my life around was I learned to stop consulting my feelings.
They no longer get a vote.
I don’t wait until I feel like writing.
I write.
Writers write.
I don’t go to the gym only when I feel like it. I get exercise. I plan on being a career author and that requires me to be fit, healthy and relaxed…
…Feelings are a horrible guide. Feelings can be affected by diet, weather, activity level, the news, traffic, PMS, kids, cat puke in our slippers. Feelings are a terrible compass. Are they important? Sure. The bumper on my car is important, too, but it makes a lousy navigational system.
Just remember, “Amateurs wait for inspiration. The rest of us get up and go to work.” ~Stephen King.

knitting: hats. Many, many hats. Fun! Quick!
eating: cheese - some tasty chedder with green chillies in! So hot, I can only eat a little at a time, which is probably a good thing.
painting: my nails - for the first time in years. They need a little cleaning up, maybe I’ll post a photo tomorrow! :D
